Australian food influencer Stacey Hatfield, aged 30, has tragically died after giving birth to her first child at home, following what her family described as an “unforeseen and extremely rare complication.”

Hatfield, based in Melbourne and known online as a “low-tox nutritionist” behind her brand Natural Spoonfuls, had successfully delivered a baby boy named Axel at home on 29 September 2025. Shortly after the birth, medical complications arose, and she was transferred to hospital where nothing could be done to save her life.

Her husband, Nathan Warnecke, paid tribute in a heartfelt social-media post, referring to Stacey as his “soulmate and best friend” and noting that becoming a mother had been her greatest dream—and she achieved that just before the tragic turn. He and loved ones have since established a fundraising effort to help cover funeral, household, and infant-care costs as he navigates life alone with their son.

While the exact medical cause has not been publicly detailed beyond “a rare complication,” her death underscores the unpredictable risks that can accompany childbirth—even when all appears well initially. Her passing has resonated deeply across the wellness and social-media communities, where she was admired for her gentle advocacy of wholesome living and natural ingredients.
