Ned Nwoko denies viral video link amid rumours
Senator Ned Nwoko, a prominent Nigerian politician and husband to actress Regina Daniels, has issued a stern response to a viral video that supposedly links him with a young woman. According to multiple reports, the footage circulated widely on social media sparked speculation that he might have taken a new partner amidst ongoing marital tensions.
In a statement shared via his official social-media platform on 25 October 2025, Nwoko clarified that the video stemmed from a visit by a delegation under the Peace Ambassadors Initiative, led by Dr. Adejo Sule. He explained that the young woman in the clip was part of that team and that the photographs were taken as is customary whenever he hosts guests.
Describing the viral claims as “mischievous and malicious,” Nwoko rejected any personal or private connection with the woman in question. He emphasised that the rumours were false and urged the public to disregard them.
He further issued a warning to individuals, groups and media platforms spreading the story, invoking the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 as legal recourse for any defamation or misinformation. He stated that any further propagation of the narrative would attract appropriate legal action.
The development comes at a time when Nwoko’s marital relationship with Regina Daniels has been under public scrutiny, with previous disclosures and controversies fueling online speculation.
