Regina Daniels accuses Ned Nwoko of ordering siblings’ arrest
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly alleged that her husband, Ned Nwoko, orchestrated the arrest of her siblings and allowed the Nigeria Police Force to treat them as criminals. According to a statement she shared, her brother and sister were detained following a dispute in her marriage, and she claimed she was left to cope with the fallout alone.
In her post, Regina said she felt as though she was “losing her mind” due to the pressure on her family. She wrote that her siblings were being arrested until she “returned” and complied with demands for rehabilitation which she said were imposed by her husband. She asked Ned Nwoko to “leave my family alone, Ned! And leave me alone, too!” while stating that she was no longer interested in continuing the marriage.
Regina’s older brother, popularly known as Sammy West, has also accused Ned Nwoko of physically assaulting Regina in a previous incident. He claimed that the senator hit his sister and smashed her head against a wall before fleeing and sending men after her. He warned that he would defend any woman who is beaten no matter who she is.
Ned Nwoko has responded by alleging that Regina Daniels is battling drug and alcohol abuse, and he said that her behaviour was the root of the problems in their marriage. At the time of the report, he has yet to issue a full public statement addressing the newest allegations about her siblings’ arrest.
This unfolding situation has sparked widespread discussion online about marital abuse, power dynamics in high-profile relationships, and the role of law enforcement in personal disputes. Many users are calling for a formal investigation into the claims of assault and coercion, as well as the alleged abuse of police power. The matter remains fluid and sensitive as both parties appear to hold their ground in different ways.
