LaGuardia bomb threat forces Delta flight evacuation
A bomb threat forced passengers off a Delta Air Lines flight at LaGuardia Airport in New York on the evening of November 4, 2025.
The flight in question, scheduled to depart for Minneapolis–St. Paul from Terminal C around 8:00 p.m., was de-boarded after the crew reported a potential explosive threat. Passengers were escorted from the aircraft and transported back to the terminal while authorities moved the plane away from the gate and conducted a thorough inspection. According to police and airline statements, the aircraft was cleared at about 10:00 p.m., with no device found and no injuries reported.
A spokesperson for Delta said the safety of customers and employees remains the highest priority and that the airline regrets the delay in travel caused by the incident. The flight was subsequently rescheduled for departure early the next morning.
