Prince Andrew plaque removed by NHS Trust
A plaque commemorating Prince Andrew’s visit has been removed by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust following the decision to strip him of his royal titles. The plaque at Chase Farm Hospital in London, originally unveiled in 2019 when he officially opened the facility, is being taken down “following the events of recent days and the changes to his status,” a Trust spokesperson said.
The move comes in the wake of Buckingham Palace’s announcement on 30 October 2025 that Prince Andrew will no longer hold any of his royal titles or honours and will be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. The Trust noted that Andrew had been removed as patron of the Royal Free London trust in 2022 and has had no association with the Trust since then.
