Media personality and filmmaker Noble Igwe has reported a fire incident at his residence in Lagos on Sunday afternoon, November 9, 2025. According to his posts and local news outlets, the blaze began in the kitchen when the air-conditioning unit reportedly caught fire while his family was preparing to leave for brunch.
Noble explained that the domestic staff raised the alarm immediately, and his wife, Chioma, evacuated their children safely from the house. Neighbours, estate security personnel and drivers from the surrounding area rallied quickly and helped prevent the fire from spreading beyond the kitchen. He also acknowledged the prompt arrival of the Lagos State Fire Service, saying the situation thankfully did not escalate.
In a social-media post, Noble expressed his gratitude that no life was lost and that damage was confined to the kitchen only. He highlighted that community cooperation played a key role in managing the situation and extended thanks to the fire-service responders.
While investigations into the cause are straightforward a malfunctioning air-conditioner in the kitchen the incident serves as a reminder of the fire risks associated with domestic electrical appliances and the importance of having proper safety measures in place. Noble’s acknowledgment of the event in public also demonstrates transparency and the value of community support in emergencies.
