CAF clears Ndidi to face DR Congo
CAF has confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi is eligible to play for the Super Eagles in Sunday’s World Cup playoff final against DR Congo.
According to CAF, the yellow cards Ndidi picked up during the World Cup qualifying rounds do not carry over into the playoff stage only confirmed suspensions apply.
This is a big boost for Nigeria: Ndidi was one of their standout players in the semi-final win over Gabon, and his presence strengthens their midfield for the must-win clash.
