The Ogun State Government has announced that it will prosecute Ademola Abiodun, better known as DJ Chicken, following a series of road accidents in which he was involved.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Justice, action is being “expedited” in the case tied to a crash on November 1, 2025, in Sagamu. In that incident, DJ Chicken reportedly collided with two motorcycles, injuring the riders. The government says it is working with the police to ensure justice is served for those harmed.

Eyewitnesses at the Sagamu crash say DJ Chicken attempted to leave the scene, which angered bystanders. He was eventually blocked, dragged from his car, and physically confronted. The injured motorcyclist and passenger were reportedly rushed to a hospital.

This is not the only incident. Ogun State officials say there were at least two other crashes involving DJ Chicken in recent weeks, one of which happened in Lekki, Lagos on November 23, 2025. In that lone-car crash, pedestrians were said to have narrowly avoided harm.

The Attorney-General of Ogun State, Oluwasina Ogungbade, has directed that the case file be concluded quickly and that DJ Chicken be arraigned. In its public statement, the government argued that while some traffic accidents can be handled as civil matters, repeated reckless driving especially when captured on video should be treated as a criminal issue.

Social media has reacted strongly. Many users are calling for more serious action, saying that such behaviour endangers public safety.
