Kachalla Na’Allah neutralised in Sokoto
Security forces have neutralised a notorious bandit leader identified as Kachalla Na’Allah during a coordinated operation in Sokoto State. The operation was carried out following sustained intelligence efforts aimed at dismantling criminal networks responsible for attacks, kidnappings, and killings across several communities in the state.
Security sources said Kachalla Na’Allah was eliminated during a fierce encounter when operatives moved in on his hideout. He was described as a high-value target who had long been on the radar of security agencies due to his alleged role in leading violent raids, cattle rustling, and abductions along rural settlements and forest routes. Residents in affected areas reportedly expressed relief after news of his death emerged.
Authorities noted that the operation was part of a broader strategy to degrade bandit strongholds and restore confidence among local populations that have endured prolonged insecurity. They added that several weapons and other items linked to criminal activity were recovered during the raid, while efforts are ongoing to track down remaining members of the gang who may have fled the area.
The Sokoto State government has praised the security forces for the success of the operation, urging them to sustain the momentum until banditry is fully curtailed. Officials also called on residents to continue providing timely information, stressing that community cooperation remains critical in the fight against criminal groups operating in the region.
