Indomie Nigeria NAFDAC safety alert clarification
Indomie Nigeria has issued a clarification to address recent reports circulating in the media about a safety alert allegedly issued by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control on Indomie Noodles Vegetable Flavour. The company said the reports have caused unnecessary concern among consumers and do not accurately reflect the facts.
According to Indomie Nigeria, there is no safety issue with Indomie Noodles Vegetable Flavour produced and sold in Nigeria. The company explained that the NAFDAC alert being referenced relates to a product manufactured outside Nigeria and not meant for the Nigerian market. It stressed that all Indomie products distributed locally are produced under strict quality control measures and fully comply with Nigerian food safety regulations.
The company reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to consumer safety, stating that its manufacturing processes are routinely inspected and approved by relevant regulatory authorities. Indomie Nigeria added that it works closely with NAFDAC and other agencies to ensure that all products meet required health and safety standards before reaching consumers.
Indomie also urged members of the public to verify information from credible and official sources to avoid spreading misinformation. The company reassured Nigerians that its noodles remain safe for consumption and thanked customers for their continued trust and loyalty.
