NCAA mandates 14-day airline ticket refunds
Domestic airlines in Nigeria have been told by the NCAA not to tell passengers that refunds take four weeks. The refund period is officially 14 days. NCAA’s spokesperson for public affairs and consumer protection, Michael Achimugu, made this clarification.

Domestic airlines must process refunds in 14 days according to Part 19 of the NCAA Regulations 2023.
If payment was made in cash, refund must be immediate in cash. If via electronic means (online, apps, etc.), then within 14 days.
Airlines that claim the four-week timeframe or delay beyond 14 days risk sanctions from the regulator.
