Allah Turned Mockery Into Testimony With Triplets, Says Adedimeji
Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has opened up about the years of public mockery, rumours, and stigma he and his wife, actress Mo Bimpe, endured over questions about starting a family, describing the arrival of their triplet sons as a testimony of faith that silenced years of public speculation.
In a reflective post shared on his official Instagram page on Tuesday, ahead of the couple’s star-studded triplets’ thanksgiving ceremony, Adedimeji explained why he and his wife chose not to publicly address or defend themselves against persistent rumours during their years of waiting to start a family, saying that silence and faith served as their ultimate shield against the whispers, lies, and assumptions directed at them, sometimes to their faces. He described a period during which the whispers grew louder than their own prayers, yet the couple resisted the urge to fight back or explain themselves publicly.
Reflecting on the outcome, Adedimeji wrote that what people thought would break them, their faith ultimately used to build them, and what was once mocked became their testimony, with what was once discussed in darkness eventually brought into the light. He extended particular appreciation to his wife, thanking her for standing by him and remaining steadfast throughout a journey he said only the two of them could truly understand, even when believing and standing firm proved difficult.
Addressing his three sons directly in the same post, Adedimeji told them they might one day hear the full story of what their parents endured before their arrival, though they may never fully grasp the depth of the tears, prayers, and waiting involved, and assured them they had been fought for and were brought into the family in a beautiful and intentional time. He concluded the message by stating that he no longer seeks revenge, explanations, or vindication from those who had doubted or mocked them, choosing instead simple gratitude for his wife, his three sons, and the journey they had walked together.
Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe, who married in 2021, had long been the subject of public speculation regarding children throughout their marriage. The couple welcomed their triplet boys, named Rahman, Raheem, and Rakeeb, in the first half of 2026, and have since prepared for a celebratory thanksgiving to formally mark the occasion. The event, held in Lekki, drew a wide array of Nollywood stars and well-wishers, including Funke Akindele, musician K1 De Ultimate, Shade Okoya, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, and Odunlade Adekola, among dozens of other guests who turned out to celebrate the family’s milestone.
The emotional post has since generated thousands of reactions across social media, with fans and colleagues within Nigeria’s entertainment industry offering their congratulations and describing the family’s journey as an inspiring story of patience, faith, and answered prayers.
