KATSEYE Goes WILD With Third EP, Now Streaming
International girl group KATSEYE released their third EP, “WILD,” on Friday, August 14, marking the start of a new musical era for the HYBE x Geffen Records act and arriving alongside a documentary film, a global concert tour announcement, and a series of major television appearances.
The six-track, English-language project is led by two songs that have already made an impact on the Billboard Hot 100: “PINKY UP,” released in April as the EP’s lead single, and “Animal,” which arrived in July and was co-written by Ed Sheeran. The EP follows 2025’s “BEAUTIFUL CHAOS,” which debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200 at No. 4 and earned Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the single “Gabriela.”
The EP’s release was preceded by an unusual announcement moment back in April, when Coachella’s livestream accidentally broadcast a video meant for the festival’s second weekend in which KATSEYE revealed the project’s title. The group went on to officially confirm the title and release date shortly afterward. Physical CD and vinyl editions of “WILD,” available exclusively through Target, feature individual member covers and include a bonus track titled “Unloveu,” written and produced by member Lara Raj alongside Amy Allen and Ross Golan.
Speaking about the direction of the new project, Raj described the EP as representing a meaningful evolution for the group, explaining that there is more of the members’ physical and emotional presence embedded in this music than in any of their previous releases, a sentiment she said fans would be able to hear throughout the project. According to the group’s label description, “WILD” was shaped by a defining two-year journey and moves beyond the “beautiful chaos” of their previous chapter into something more euphoric, boundless, and rooted in self-discovery.
The release lands as the six-member group, formed in 2023 through a joint venture between HYBE and Geffen Records, continues its rapid rise within the global pop landscape, having gone from reality-television contestants to a Coachella-headlining act with six Billboard Hot 100 appearances in just over two years. The EP’s arrival coincides with the theatrical run of “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS,” a concert documentary directed by Nadia Hallgren currently screening in roughly 1,700 cinemas across more than 60 countries, featuring previously unseen footage and intimate interviews with the group’s members.
To mark the release, KATSEYE performed on NBC’s Citi Concert Series on TODAY, following a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” where they performed “Animal.” The group is also set to embark on “THE WILDWORLD TOUR” beginning in September, with the run already largely sold out. The EP’s rollout continues amid temporary hiatuses for two group members, Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman, though the remaining members have continued to carry the group’s promotional schedule in their absence.
