Ned Nwoko Begs Nigerians to Leave Regina Daniels Alone
Nigerian senator Ned Nwoko has appealed to Nigerians, bloggers and social media users to stop spreading false information about his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, and allow her to focus on her health.
The lawmaker made the appeal in a statement shared on his Instagram page on Monday, November 2, 2026. His message followed growing public discussions about the actress’s health and reports circulating online about her personal life.
Nwoko said Daniels needed understanding, support and privacy rather than criticism. He also expressed concern about fabricated reports, including claims announcing her death, which he said were causing her distress.

According to Nwoko, his appeal was not only for the actress but also for their two children. He said the children deserved to see their mother receive support and have the opportunity to get better.
He added that Daniels had experienced difficulties that many people might not fully understand. He therefore encouraged the public to avoid judging or attacking her during what he described as a difficult period.
The lawmaker also referred to a video Daniels shared around her birthday, saying it offered viewers a glimpse of some of the health challenges she had been facing.
Senator condemns fake death reports
Nwoko expressed particular concern about false publications concerning Daniels’ health and personal circumstances. He said some online reports had gone as far as circulating fabricated announcements of her death.
He argued that such content should not be treated as harmless social media engagement because the actress could see the posts and be affected by them.
The senator urged her supporters to discourage the spread of unverified stories instead of sharing them further. He maintained that false reports would do nothing to support her recovery.
He also warned bloggers and social media users against deliberately publishing misleading information about the actress.
Nwoko said his team was documenting the publications and that individuals found responsible could face legal consequences through the appropriate channels.
Regina’s health challenges raise public concern
Daniels attracted renewed public attention after sharing a video around her 25th birthday in October. In the footage, she appeared in a wheelchair and spoke about health difficulties that had affected her movement.
The development prompted reactions from fans and other social media users, with many expressing concern about her condition. However, details of her medical diagnosis and treatment have not been fully established in the public information surrounding the matter.
The actress’s health also became a subject of discussion alongside the ongoing problems in her marriage to Nwoko.
Couple’s marital dispute remains in the spotlight
The relationship between Daniels and Nwoko became a major public issue in October 2025 after their private disagreements spilled onto social media.
Both parties made allegations during the dispute, including claims relating to their relationship and personal circumstances. Nwoko previously made allegations about substance abuse, while Daniels made accusations of abusive and controlling behaviour, which he denied.
The couple have two sons together, and their relationship has remained a subject of public discussion.
Nwoko’s latest statement, however, focused on Daniels’ well-being and the need to stop spreading false reports. He did not announce a reconciliation or indicate that their marital differences had been resolved.
His appeal has renewed attention on the actress’s health while highlighting concerns about the circulation of unverified celebrity stories online. For now, the senator is asking the public to respect her privacy and allow her time to recover without additional pressure.
