Zlatan Ibile Marries Davita Lamai in Morocco
Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has married his longtime partner, Davita Lamai, in a white wedding ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, following the couple’s traditional wedding in Lagos on October 24.
Videos from the celebration circulated online, showing the couple exchanging vows and sharing emotional moments with family and friends. Reports by TheCable Lifestyle and Daily Post Nigeria confirmed the ceremony, while coverage from Pulse Nigeria highlighted the couple’s vows and the presence of celebrity guests.
Couple celebrate in Marrakech
The white wedding brought together relatives, friends and several familiar faces from Nigeria’s entertainment industry. Among the guests reported to have attended were singer Davido and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, comedian and streamer Carter Efe, Tunde Perry, Pretty Mike and music executive Soso Soberekon.
TheCable Lifestyle reported that Zlatan and Davita had arrived in Marrakech earlier in the week for the celebrations. Their welcome party featured grand entrances in which attendants carried the couple separately on decorated platforms known as amaria, a custom associated with Moroccan and North African wedding celebrations.
Footage from the wedding later showed Zlatan becoming emotional as he waited for his bride. Pulse Nigeria also reported that he spoke warmly during the exchange of vows, describing Davita as his best friend, partner and biggest supporter.
Celebration follows Lagos traditional wedding
The Moroccan ceremony came after the couple’s traditional wedding in Lagos State on October 24. The event attracted entertainers and public figures, including Davido, Teni, Phyno, Iyabo Ojo, Bella Shmurda and Soso Soberekon, according to reports by Daily Post and Pulse.
The Lagos celebration featured traditional looks reflecting the couple’s family backgrounds. The Morocco event provided another opportunity for relatives and friends to celebrate their union abroad.
The couple had announced their wedding date in October through a pre-wedding video shared on social media. The Guardian Nigeria reported that the announcement used a voice-over from one of their children, giving the invitation a family-centred touch.
A relationship built over several years
Zlatan and Davita have been together for several years and have two sons, Shiloh and Benaiah. Daily Post reported that their first child was born in 2020 and their second in 2024.
Zlatan, whose name is Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, rose to prominence through the success of his street-pop hit “Zanku (Leg Work)” and later released songs including “Lagos Anthem” and “Shotan”. Davita, also known as Davita Lamai, is a UK-based influencer and graduate of the University of Birmingham, according to TheCable.
Their relationship has attracted public interest while keeping much of their family life private. The two wedding celebrations have now brought their relationship into public view in a more formal way.
What happens after the wedding?
With the traditional and white wedding ceremonies completed, attention is likely to turn to the couple’s life after the celebrations. Neither has announced further public events or shared details of any additional ceremonies.
For now, videos and photographs from Marrakech continue to circulate online, with fans and colleagues congratulating the newlyweds. The celebrations also brought together leading figures in Nigerian entertainment.
