Burna Boy “I tell una be my fans” reaction
Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy has responded to the backlash over his decision to eject a couple from his Denver concert after spotting them asleep in the front row.
In a livestream shortly after the incident, he pushed back against criticism, saying:
“I tell you say make una be my fans? Una dey jonze. I dey look for fans wey get money this period.”
He added that this is a “very, very treacherous period,” suggesting that his focus is on supporters who can sustain him financially.
The controversy erupted after footage showed him pausing his performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, calling out a man and his partner and insisting they leave before he would continue the show.
His remarks have reignited debate about concert etiquette, fan behavior, and whether artists should publicly shame audience members especially those who paid to attend. Some have defended his right to set standards for his shows, while others believe he disrespected paying patrons.
