Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs reportedly survived a frightening incident inside prison when an inmate held a knife to his throat. According to his friend Charlucci Finney, Diddy woke up at the Metropolitan Detention Center Brooklyn to find a makeshift blade pressed against his neck.
The attack allegedly happened while Diddy was sleeping in his cell. Finney said he did not know whether the guards intervened in time or Diddy fought back, but noted that the weapon was clearly at his throat and the rap mogul was “just seconds” from serious harm or death. The incident, Finney added, may have been more intimidation than a full-fledged murder attempt, suggesting: “It was probably a way to say: ‘Next time you ain’t gonna be so lucky.’”
Diddy was convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution in July 2025 and sentenced to fifty months in federal prison. His legal team has raised concerns over his safety and the conditions at the prison, noting that inmates convicted of sexual-related offenses often face unique risks behind bars.
