Femi Fani-Kayode reacts to US threat Nigeria
Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani‑Kayode has issued a blistering response to Donald Trump’s threat of possible military action against Nigeria over alleged attacks on Christians. In a post on social media, Fani-Kayode called the US leader a “cheap and shameless godless scumbag” and challenged him to “do your worst”, warning that any foreign intervention would provoke a national response.
In his remarks, Fani-Kayode described the situation as one of mischaracterisation and external manipulation, arguing that the narrative of Christian genocide in Nigeria is being exploited to drive divisions and foreign interference. He emphasised that the violence affects both Christians and Muslims and called for unity rather than external pressure that singles out one religious group.
His outburst comes after Trump announced that the US Department of Defense should prepare for possible action in Nigeria unless the government acted more decisively to protect Christians.
