Ifu Ennada shares survival of amnesia near-death and spiritual attack
Nollywood actress and former reality-TV star Ifu Ennada has publicly shared a deeply personal testimony of surviving amnesia, near-death experiences and prolonged spiritual attacks. She revealed that over the past one and a half years she endured “death, amnesia, severe mental breakdown and intense spiritual battles” yet believes she has now been fully restored.
In the post, she detailed that the most harrowing moment came on July 23 — her birthday — when she woke up with no memory of who she was. According to her account, she could not recognise her family, even after being shown photographs and videos. She described the experience as though she were on a “strange planet” without a sense of past or identity.
Despite the severity of her odyssey, Ifu credited her faith and divine intervention for her recovery. She said that while she lost most memories, she did not forget God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit, and through them and the prayers of her mother and medical support she was brought back. “My testimony is that God intervened, He showed me mercy, He healed me, and gave me a new meaning to Psalm 118:5,” she wrote.
She also disclosed that her business suffered significantly during her illness, but expressed hope and expectation that her ventures will be relaunched “bigger and better”. She said she chose to make her story public after feeling spiritually led to do so, offering it as encouragement to others.
