Kamala Harris hints at 2028 presidential run
Former US Vice President Kamala Harris has indicated that she may seek the presidency again in 2028. In a recently aired interview with the BBC, Harris stated, “I am not done,” noting that she has lived a career dedicated to public service and implying that a future White House bid is on the table.
During the interview, Harris said she remains confident that the United States will eventually elect a woman president and when asked if it could be her, she answered, “Possibly.” She emphasised that no final decision has been made regarding a campaign.
Harris dismissed the idea that poor polling puts her out of the running, saying that she has “never listened to polls” and that they would not have predicted her earlier political breakthroughs.
Although she lost the 2024 presidential race to Donald Trump and recently ruled out running for governor of California in 2026, Harris’s remarks suggest she is keeping her options open and continuing to engage in national political discourse.
