Kim Kardashian bar exam failure
Celebrity entrepreneur Kim Kardashian has revealed that she did not pass the California Bar Exam after her attempt in July 2025. In an Instagram Story posted on November 8, 2025, she wrote, “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.” She further declared that her six-year pursuit of becoming a licensed attorney remains ongoing and emphasised that the setback only strengthens her resolve.
The bar exam she sat for on July 29 and 30 marked the final barrier in her route toward legal licensure under California’s law apprenticeship route, rather than the traditional full law-school path.
Kardashian’s earlier milestones along this path included passing the so-called “baby bar” (First Year Law Students’ Exam) in 2021 after several attempts.
Despite the disappointment of not passing on this occasion, Kardashian stressed that she remains committed to her goal, writing, “No shortcuts, no giving up just more studying and even more determination.” She thanked her supporters and noted that being “so close to passing” now gives her fresh motivation.
Her legal journey has been highly visible, particularly since she began studying law in 2018 and graduated from her apprenticeship program in May 2025. Her decision to publicise the results ahead of official publication reflected her transparency with followers.
This news comes while she is also starring as attorney Allura Grant in the legal drama series All’s Fair. The parallel between her on-screen role and real-life legal ambitions has drawn attention from media and audiences alike.
