New DOJ Epstein photos show Jeffrey Epstein with young girls
Newly released Jeffrey Epstein documents from the U.S. Department of Justice have stirred shock and outrage after showing the late convicted sex offender in disturbing and inappropriate situations with minors, including photos that appear to depict him holding or in close physical contact with very young girls. The images are part of the Epstein Files Transparency Act disclosures mandated by Congress, which required the DOJ to publish unclassified records related to Epstein’s extensive criminal investigations.
Among the material made public are photographs described by multiple news reports that seem to show Epstein cuddling, kissing or being close to very young girls in settings such as his private jet or at his estate on Little St. James Island. In some of these images, children’s faces have been redacted to protect privacy, but the interactions captured have been widely described as highly disturbing and inappropriate, reflecting the horrific nature of Epstein’s crimes involving minors.
The release of these photos has reignited public anger over Epstein’s past abuses and questions about how institutions failed to stop him earlier. Advocates for survivors have criticised the delayed transparency and the redaction practices that remain in the files, while some lawmakers are pushing for even greater openness on the full scope of the documents. Despite this, officials stress that the presence of Epstein with minors in released images is consistent with the known facts of his sex trafficking network and long-standing abuse of underage girls, although no new criminal charges can be brought against him because he died in federal custody in 2019.
