Nigeria will face Gabon in the semifinals of the CAF play-offs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This comes after Nigeria finished as one of the four best runners-up in the African qualifying groups. The match is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 13 November 2025 in Morocco. If Nigeria beats Gabon, they will go on to face the winner of the Cameroon vs DR Congo match in the final on Sunday, 16 November 2025, also in Morocco. The winner of that final will advance to the inter-continental playoff in March 2026 for a chance to join the teams already qualified for the World Cup
