Nnamdi Kanu moved to Sokoto prison
Aloy Ejimakor, a former lawyer for Nnamdi Kanu, has confirmed that Kanu was transferred from the DSS custody in Abuja to a correctional facility in Sokoto State, shortly after he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Ejimakor expressed concern that the move would further cut off Kanu from his family, legal team, and well-wishers.
Kanu’s family has also rejected the transfer, describing it as “secret” and claiming it could jeopardize his health. They allege he’ll be denied access to his private physician, raising fears for his safety.
The relocation follows his life sentence for multiple terrorism-related charges handed down by Justice James Omotosho at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
