OGB Cultist speaks on IShowSpeed and Peller access denial
Popular Nigerian comedian OGB Cultist has reacted after revealing that the management team of American internet personality IShowSpeed allegedly denied Nigerian streamer Peller access to meet the star, despite his personal plea on Peller’s behalf. OGB Cultist shared the account while reflecting on how small the world has become and urging people to allow love and understanding guide their actions.
According to OGB Cultist, he reached out directly to IShowSpeed’s management during the streamer’s visit to Nigeria, hoping to secure a brief interaction with Peller, who has openly admired Speed and expressed interest in collaborating or meeting him. Despite the appeal, the request was reportedly turned down, a decision OGB Cultist said was disappointing given the shared digital space both creators occupy.
He noted that while such decisions may be driven by security, scheduling, or management policies, creators should remember the power of connection and mutual respect in the entertainment industry. OGB Cultist stressed that content creation thrives on collaboration and goodwill, especially at a time when African creators are gaining global recognition.
The comedian added that there was no personal resentment over the refusal, but said the situation should serve as a reminder that fame should not create unnecessary barriers between people with shared passions. His remarks have since sparked conversations online about gatekeeping, access, and solidarity among creators across borders.
OGB Cultist concluded his message by encouraging creatives to remain humble and open-hearted, saying that the world is smaller than it seems and that love should always lead in personal and professional dealings.
