Portable mocks VeryDarkMan plane fight
Singer Portable has weighed in on the now-viral mid-air brawl between social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) and comedian Mr Jollof, calling the incident reckless and dangerous. In a video shared on social media, Portable said, “Anybody that fights inside a plane should go to prison.”
His comment is not just a criticism of the act itself but an indictment of VDM’s behavior and ego. According to reports, Portable mocked VDM’s bravado, suggesting that his online aggression “didn’t translate into control or dignity” in the confined space of an aircraft.
The clash reportedly happened on a United Nigeria Airlines flight from Asaba to Lagos, where VDM and Mr Jollof exchanged blows during boarding. The airline confirmed that both men were deboarded after the incident for “the safety, comfort, and security of all other passengers.”
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has since launched an investigation and warned of sanctions, saying there is “zero tolerance for unruly conduct on an aircraft.”
Portable’s remarks have resonated with many Nigerians, who agree that physical fights onboard planes endanger not just those involved but all passengers.
