Prophet arrested for raping Ekiti varsity student
A self-proclaimed prophet has been arrested by the Ekiti State Police Command for allegedly raping a 100-level student at Ekiti State University. The victim is reportedly a 20-year-old undergraduate.
Police Commissioner Joseph Eribo confirmed the arrest in Ado-Ekiti, saying the prophet, identified as Ajayi Oluwatoyin, was taken into custody along with other suspects as part of a wider effort to crack down on criminal offenders in the state.
The case is under investigation. Authorities say they are gathering evidence, recording statements, and will follow due process for possible prosecution.
