Rashford blames Man United inconsistent environment for career dip
Marcus Rashford, now on loan at Barcelona, has suggested that part of his inconsistent performances during his time at Manchester United stemmed from the club’s unstable environment. This comes as he reflects on periods of form that fluctuated sharply, especially during and after multiple managerial changes at Old Trafford.
In a recent interview with ITV, Rashford said, “I feel like I have been in an inconsistent environment for a very, very long time, so it is even more difficult to be consistent.” He stressed that consistency is essential not just in sport but in life, including training routines and other “variables” around him.
Rashford’s comments appear to come from a sense that the constant turnover of managers, changing strategies, and shifting expectations made it hard for him to build and maintain momentum.
Since his move to Barcelona, he seems to be regaining form. He has contributed goals and assists, and his performances have warranted continued inclusion in England’s squad ahead of key fixtures.
