Taraba APC endorses Agbu Kefas for second term
The All Progressives Congress in Taraba State has endorsed Governor Agbu Kefas for a second term in office, setting the stage for early political positioning ahead of the next gubernatorial election.
Party leaders announced the endorsement after a strategic meeting in Jalingo, where stakeholders reviewed the governor’s performance and ongoing development projects. According to party officials, the decision was based on what they described as visible progress in infrastructure, education reform and security interventions across the state.
APC representatives stated that endorsing Governor Kefas early would promote unity within the party and prevent internal divisions. They noted that continuity in leadership would help sustain existing programs and accelerate growth in key sectors of the state economy.
Governor Kefas, in his response, expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering people-centered policies and strengthening governance structures in Taraba State. He also urged party members to remain united and focused on development goals.
Political observers say the endorsement signals the beginning of intensified preparations for the next election cycle in Taraba. Analysts add that early endorsements often shape political alliances and campaign strategies long before official primaries begin.
As political activities gradually build nationwide, Taraba State now joins other states where early alignments are taking shape ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
