Three arrested for kidnap and murder of young woman in Nasarawa
Three suspects have been arrested by the Nasarawa State Police Command in connection with the abduction and subsequent death of a young woman identified as Favour Francis of Ombi Anzaku in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. The incident occurred on October 3, 2025 when the victim was reportedly abducted at around 10:00 p.m., but was not immediately reported to the police.
According to the police, two suspects Dahiru Aliyu and Sayyadi Abubakar were initially apprehended by local vigilantes on October 5, and handed over to the police. A further investigation led to the arrest of a third suspect, Abdulmumuni Isah of Angwan Nunku, Lafia Township. The third suspect reportedly directed operatives to where a locally-made rifle, live cartridges and the knife used in the attack were concealed.
While the suspects have confessed to the crime, the police continue to search for other fleeing members of the gang. Authorities have urged residents to assist with credible information to help bring all perpetrators to justice.
