Jennifer Lopez says exes weren’t capable of love

She believes the problem never lay with her being unlovable, but with her partners being emotionally unable to reciprocate love in the way she needed.
Lopez reflected on how, in each relationship, she was given everything her partners could give—rings, marriage, material things—but still felt something essential was missing. She said part of that was because she hadn’t truly loved herself at some points in her life. She shared that her last divorce, from Ben Affleck, was actually a turning point. It forced her into a healing journey that included therapy, coaching, and deep self-reflection.
She also spoke about how these experiences helped her grow into a place of greater self-awareness. She said she now feels more comfortable being herself, with all the complexities and imperfections. She emphasized that the core of her journey has been understanding that love and fulfillment start from within, not from what others can or cannot give.
