Kevin Federline alleges Britney Spears used cocaine while breastfeeding
Kevin Federline, Britney Spears’ ex-husband, has made serious allegations in his upcoming memoir You Thought You Knew, claiming that Spears used cocaine while breastfeeding their children and drank alcohol while on medication during pregnancy. He states that these behaviours played a major role in the collapse of their marriage.
Federline recalls in the book that at a 2006 album release party, Spears unexpectedly showed up despite earlier promising to stay home with their infant son. He alleges that she was drinking and snorting cocaine with a friend. He says he confronted her, asking her not to breastfeed in that state and suggesting she use formula instead. According to him, Spears responded angrily, threw her drink in his face, and stormed off. He calls that moment “the proverbial final straw,” saying it marked a turning point in their relationship.
Spears strongly denies Federline’s claims. She has called the allegations “extremely hurtful and exhausting” and described parts of his narrative as “white lies.” She also accused Federline of attempting to profit from sensational stories, especially given the recent end of his child support payments. Spears insists she has never had an interest in hard drugs and disputes the account of drinking during pregnancy or drug use while breastfeeding.
