Destiny Daniels Denies Regina’s Reconciliation With Ned Nwoko After Viral Home Video
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels remains single, according to her younger sister, Destiny Daniels, who has moved to dismiss growing speculation that the actress has reconciled with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, after a video showing her at his residence went viral.
The fresh wave of speculation began after footage circulated online on Saturday, September 5, showing Regina at what was identified as Nwoko’s residence, spending time with her sons and her stepchildren during what appeared to be a live social media broadcast involving one of the senator’s sons. The actress reportedly ended the livestream abruptly upon realising her stepson was also on camera. The clip quickly reignited public debate over the status of the couple’s relationship, with some social media users interpreting her presence at the home as evidence the pair had settled their differences, while others went further, speculating that Regina was pregnant with a third child.
Addressing the rumours directly on her Instagram Story, Destiny urged the public not to read too much into the video. “Y’all should chill. She was granted a visit to see her children just last night,” she wrote, adding that Regina’s appearance had nothing to do with a reconciliation and everything to do with spending time with her sons. On the pregnancy speculation, Destiny was similarly direct, dismissing the claims and attributing recent changes in her sister’s appearance simply to weight gain, while reaffirming that Regina remains single.
Reaction to Destiny’s clarification has been mixed, with some fans accepting the explanation while others remained sceptical, arguing that visiting an estranged spouse’s home, particularly one involving children, does not necessarily rule out an eventual reconciliation. Commentary around the story also continued to reference the wider public fallout between the couple, which began in October last year when Regina left the marriage, citing domestic violence as her reason for doing so. In the months since, the couple’s dispute has continued to play out publicly, including a back-and-forth in December over Nwoko’s practice of posting images of their children online, which Regina criticised as an attempt to draw negative attention, a claim Nwoko rejected, describing the practice as a normal part of family life. Regina has also previously spoken emotionally about being unable to see her children for an extended period, expressing hope at the time that she would be reunited with them soon.
As of the time of reporting, Ned Nwoko had not issued a public response to Destiny’s clarification, and the true state of the relationship between the estranged couple remains a subject of continued public speculation, even as her sister maintains that Regina’s current status is, for now, still single.
