JAMB Disowns Fake UTME Result Slip Circulating Online
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has distanced itself from a fake Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result slip currently circulating online. The board warned candidates and the general public to disregard the document, describing it as misleading and not issued through its official system.
According to JAMB, the fake result slip, which falsely claims that 394 candidates scored high marks in the UTME, did not originate from its database. The board clarified that all authentic results are released through its approved channels and can be verified using official platforms.
The examination body stressed that the spread of such false information can cause confusion among candidates and undermine the credibility of the examination process. It urged candidates to rely only on verified sources when checking their results and avoid sharing unconfirmed materials online.
JAMB also warned individuals and groups involved in creating or distributing fake examination documents to desist from such activities. The board noted that legal action could be taken against those found responsible, as part of efforts to protect the integrity of its processes.
Candidates have been advised to remain calm and follow official updates from JAMB regarding their results. The board reassured the public of its commitment to transparency and accuracy in the conduct of examinations and the release of results.
