Super Falcons Defender Oluwatosin Demehin Confirms Exit From Galatasaray After Two Seasons
Super Falcons defender Oluwatosin Demehin has confirmed her departure from Galatasaray Women after two seasons with the Turkish club, bringing an eventful chapter of her career in Istanbul to a close. The Nigeria international announced the decision on Monday, using her social media platforms to reflect on her time with the club and express gratitude for the experience.
Demehin joined Galatasaray in September 2024 following her move from French side Stade de Reims, initially signing a one-year contract with the Turkish outfit. Her debut season proved productive, as she made a total of 28 appearances across competitions, featuring in 21 Turkish Women’s Super League matches and seven fixtures in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, including qualifying rounds. She also found the back of the net once during that campaign, as Galatasaray finished fourth in the domestic league standings.
Her strong showing in her first season earned her a one-year contract extension, which she signed in August 2025. She went on to make 22 appearances in the 2025/26 campaign, once again proving to be a consistent figure in the team’s backline. Among the highlights of her second season was a goal in a 3–2 Istanbul derby victory over eventual league champions Fenerbahçe, a result that contributed to Galatasaray finishing third in the league that term.
