The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested four suspects for one-chance robbery and attempted kidnapping in Abuja. The arrests came after a distress call from a woman who reported that her sister, Comfort Habila, had been abducted and a ransom of ₦1 million was demanded for her release. The incident began around 10:09 p.m. on October 8, 2025, when the abduction was first reported to the Life Camp Police Station. Using digital and tactical intelligence, police located and arrested the suspects in the early hours of October 9 at Dape Village. Two victims were rescued, including Comfort Habila and a man named Aliyu Adams who had sustained stab wounds and is receiving treatment at Gwarinpa General Hospital.

The suspects are identified as Solomon Tanko, Samuel Audu, Chigozie Joseph, and Emmanuel Chidiebere. Investigations revealed that the group had carried out multiple one-chance robberies around Bannex and Kado areas of Abuja. They used a tinted vehicle to lure unsuspecting passengers before robbing them. Authorities recovered several items from the suspects: 15 international passports, two daggers, two cutlasses, mobile phones, two hammers, and other personal effects. The FCT Command says the suspects will be charged to court once investigations conclude. The Commissioner of Police commended the swift operation and urged residents to keep collaborating with the police by promptly reporting crimes or suspicious activities.
