Tiwa Savage has sparked conversation after revealing she is open to the idea of becoming a second wife. During a recent appearance on the American podcast Lip Service, the Afrobeats star explained that many of the men approaching her are either significantly older or already married, which has led her to reconsider what a future marriage might look like. She said, “If I meet somebody who can really marry me, they are either in their 50s or already married. So, I don’t know. Maybe I can be a second wife. I think so. I could be a second wife.”
Savage emphasized that if she were to take on such a role, she would do so with respect and harmony towards the first wife. She stated, “I think I can go along with the first wife, and she’s going to love me because I’m not going to be troublesome. I’m going to be going on tours, I’m not really going to stress you. I’m very respectful, I know that you are the first wife and would accord you that respect.”
Her comments reflect both the realities she says she faces in her dating life and her personal approach to relationships moving forward. Savage was previously married to music executive Tee Billz (Tunji Balogun) from 2013 until 2018, and they share a son.
