Jarvis Debunks Pregnancy Rumours, Cites Past Face Surgery
Nigerian content creator Elizabeth Amadu, popularly known as Jarvis, has once again pushed back against persistent rumours that she is pregnant for her newly-married husband, fellow TikTok personality Peller, attributing the changes in her facial appearance to a past surgical procedure rather than pregnancy.
Speculation about Jarvis’s pregnancy status intensified in recent weeks following the couple’s high-profile wedding celebrations, with many social media users pointing to her fuller figure and swollen-looking face as apparent signs that she was expecting. Some online commentators went further, suggesting the couple had “rushed” their wedding specifically to avoid having a child out of wedlock, a claim Jarvis has firmly rejected.
Addressing the rumours during a recent livestream, Jarvis explained that her fuller face is the result of jawline surgery she underwent a few years ago, rather than any pregnancy. She noted that people mocking her for looking “fat” were unaware that she had previously had surgery on her jaw, which she said accounts for the fuller appearance. She added that once her white wedding celebrations are complete, she plans to undergo a further procedure to address her facial appearance. According to earlier reporting, Jarvis successfully underwent surgery in November 2024 to remove a painful tumour from her jawline.
The pregnancy speculation has proven to be a recurring topic surrounding the couple in recent months. In a separate clarification issued days earlier, Jarvis attributed noticeable weight gain in her body to a weight-gain supplement she had been taking, rather than pregnancy, telling followers directly that she was not expecting a child and asking them to stop speculating about her body. Peller has also previously addressed similar rumours, stating publicly that the couple was not planning to have children yet, explaining that he wants to be more financially established before starting a family and dismissing earlier claims about Jarvis’s appearance as the result of late-night eating rather than pregnancy.
Despite Jarvis’s repeated clarifications, her explanations have continued to generate mixed reactions online, with some followers accepting her account while others have persisted in questioning it. The renewed scrutiny comes shortly after the couple’s widely publicised traditional and white wedding ceremonies, which drew significant attention from fans, fellow influencers, and Nigerian celebrities throughout the extended #JP2026 celebrations.
